How Can You Turn Community Posts Into Ads Across Your Website?

Community content often performs better than traditional advertising because it feels authentic, engaging, and relatable. But how can brands reuse that content as advertisements across their own digital properties?

With the Off Site functionality inside the Brand Control Center, brands can convert community posts into ad creatives and embed them across websites as interactive ads. This enables brands to promote real community content while maintaining full control over tracking, calls-to-action, and ad presentation.

This guide explains how to create, configure, and manage Off Site ads using community posts.

What Is Off Site Advertising?

Off Site allows brands to transform posts from their community platform into ad creatives that can be embedded across websites.

Instead of designing ads from scratch, brands can reuse existing community posts and enhance them with advertising elements such as:

  • Ad copy
  • Call-to-action buttons
  • Hashtags
  • Tracking pixels
  • Metadata and analytics

The result is a more native and engaging ad experience that highlights authentic content while driving traffic or conversions.

How Do You Create a New Off Site Ad?

Follow the steps below to create an ad using an existing post.

Step 1: Create a New Ad

Navigate to the Off Site section inside the Brand Control Center.

Click the “+ New Ad” button.

You will then be prompted to select a post that will be used as the ad creative.

1

Step 2: Select the Post

You can locate the post by:

  • Searching for it directly
  • Applying filters
  • Checking the community or group name by hovering over the post

Once you identify the post you want to use, select it and click Next to continue.

2

What Additional Details Can You Configure?

After selecting the post, you can customize several ad elements to enhance performance and tracking.

3

Ad Copy

Add a short introduction or description that appears with the ad. This helps provide context for the content and attract user attention.

Call-to-Action (CTA)

You can add a CTA button to guide users toward a specific action.

Configuration includes:

  • Button name
  • Destination URL

For example:

  • Shop Now
  • Learn More
  • Explore Collection

Fetch Metadata

Enable this option to automatically retrieve metadata associated with the content. This helps maintain consistency between the post and the ad creative.

Hashtags

Add relevant hashtags to improve content categorization and discoverability.

Pixel URL

Tracking pixels allow brands to monitor user behavior and campaign performance.

Common tracking events include:

  • Page views
  • Button clicks
  • Conversion actions

Once these details are added, click Next to continue.

How Can You Customize the Ad Creative?

Before publishing the ad, you can configure several display and tracking settings.

4

Ad Name

Enter a unique Ad Name to help identify the creative within your ad list.

Google Tag Manager Integration

You can add a Google Tag Manager ID to manage tracking tags and analytics across your ad placements.

This enables more efficient campaign tracking and performance optimization.

Creative Size

Choose the dimensions of the ad creative depending on where it will appear on your website.

This ensures the ad fits correctly within your page layout.

Button Delay

Specify how long the system should wait before displaying the CTA button.

Delaying the CTA allows users to first engage with the content before being prompted to take action.

6

Redirect to Profile

Community posts may include a creator profile.

If this option is enabled:

  • Clicking the profile icon redirects users to the creator’s profile.

If disabled:

  • The profile link is inactive.

Engagement Tools

You can control whether users can interact with the ad through community features.

Options include:

  • Repost
  • Spark
  • Comment
  • Share

Disabling these options converts the ad into a more traditional display format.

Autoplay Video

If enabled, the video within the ad automatically plays when the ad loads.

If disabled, users must manually start playback.

Can You Change the Post Used in the Ad?

Yes. If you want to use a different post for the ad:

Click the Edit Post button.

This allows you to select another post without needing to recreate the entire ad configuration.

8

How Do You Generate the Embed Code?

Once the ad configuration is finalized:

  1. Click Save.
  2. Select View Code.
9

The system will generate an embed tag for the Off Site ad.

Copy this code and paste it into your website wherever you want the advertisement to appear.

After embedding, the ad will display directly on your webpage.

7

How Do You Manage Existing Ads?

All created ads are listed in the Off Site dashboard within the Brand Control Center.

From here, you can manage and update ad configurations.

8

Edit an Ad

To modify an existing ad:

  1. Click More (3 Dots)
  2. Select Edit Ad

You can update:

  • Ad details
  • CTA configuration
  • Creative settings

  • Click the CTA button
  • View the ad in full-screen mode for a richer experience

This creates an immersive advertising format that combines community content with traditional ad functionality.
